承擔得起嗎？/Can We afford It？

看到周遭人事物的變遷及生老病死，

有感人生在世其實不知道下一秒會發生什麼事，

是福？是禍？還是病痛來襲？

我們準備好如何面對了嗎？

特別是對於死亡，我們應該認真看待這問題‘

因為，

聖經說：「按着定命，人人都有一死，死後且有審判。」

(希伯來書 9:27 CUNP-神)

我們承擔得起審判的結果嗎？

如果現在就是我們肉體生命的盡頭，

我們是如何渡過這一生年歲的？

我們是否活出了造物主創造我們的目的？

我們是否遵行了祂的旨意和教導？

我們是否活出了祂所賜的豐盛生命？

我期盼能像大衛王

在詩篇17:15的祈禱那樣，

在義中見神的面。

「祢使我的年日窄如手掌； 我一生的年數，在祢面前如同無有。 

各人最穩妥的時候，真是全然虛幻。 世人行動實係幻影。 

他們忙亂，真是枉然； 積蓄財寶 ，不知將來有誰收取。」

詩篇 39:5-6 CUNP-神

「黑夜已深，白晝將近。我們就當脫去暗昧的行為，帶上光明的兵器。 

行事為人要端正，好像行在白晝。不可荒宴醉酒；不可好色邪蕩；

不可爭競嫉妒。 總要披戴主耶穌基督，不要為肉體安排，去放縱私慾。」

羅馬書 13:12-14 CUNP-神

「在祢的院宇住一日， 勝似在別處住千日； 

寧可在我神殿中看門， 不願住在惡人的帳棚裏。」

詩篇 84:10 CUNP-神

「至於我，我必在義中見祢的面；

 我醒了的時候，得見祢的形像就心滿意足了。」

Seeing the changes around in peoples lives,

such as birth, getting old, sickness and death.

 I sense that we really don’t know what will happen in the next second.

 Which is coming next? Is it a blessing?  Is it a misfortune?  Or is it death?

 Are we ready to face it?

 Especially for death, we should take this issue seriously.

 Because, 

the Bible says: "And just as each person is destined to die once

 and after that comes judgment,”

(Hebrews 9:27 NLT)

 Can we afford the outcome of the judgment?

 If now is the end of our physical life,

 How have we spend the years of this life?

 Have we lived out the purpose which the Creator created us for?

 Have we done His will and followed His teachings?

 Have we living out the abundant life He has given us?

 I’m looking forward to being like King David’s prayer in Psalm 17:15,

 I shall behold the face of God in righteousness.

“Behold, you have made my days a few handbreadths, and my lifetime is as nothing before you. Surely all mankind stands as a mere breath! Selah Surely a man goes about as a shadow! Surely for nothing they are in turmoil; man heaps up wealth and does not know who will gather!”

Psalm 39:5-6 ESV

“Let us walk properly as in the daytime, not in orgies and drunkenness, 

not in sexual immorality and sensuality, not in quarreling and jealousy. 

But put on the Lord Jesus Christ,

 and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires.”

Romans 13:13-14 ESV

“For a day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere. 

I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God

 than dwell in the tents of wickedness.”

Psalm 84:10 ESV

“As for me, I shall behold your face in righteousness; 

when I awake, I shall be satisfied with your likeness.”
