有人說：「你很有才華，你應該在教會做這個做那個…」，然而，才華不等同于恩賜，倚靠才華是榮耀自已，恩賜是榮神益人，服事神要倚靠的不是才華，聖經撒迦利亞書 4:6這麼說的「他對我說：「這是耶和華指示 所羅巴伯 的。萬軍之耶和華說：不是倚靠勢力，不是倚靠才能，乃是倚靠我的靈 方能成事 。」

有些人倚靠自己，誇誇其談，卻言語空洞，雖然聖經倒背如流，卻不懂真理，福音的大能沒有真正發生在其生命，所以無法活出恩典和真理在其生命中，反恩典之道，嚴以待人，卻寬以待己，重視的是利己的生命，倚靠神行事為人的，活出的生命是利他，且榮神益人。

「耶和華的靈必住在他身上， 就是使他有智慧和聰明的靈， 謀略和能力的靈， 知識和敬畏耶和華的靈。 他必以敬畏耶和華為樂； 行審判不憑眼見， 斷是非也不憑耳聞； 卻要以公義審判貧窮人， 以正直判斷世上的謙卑人， 以口中的杖擊打世界， 以嘴裏的氣殺戮惡人。 公義必當他的腰帶； 信實必當他脅下的帶子。」以賽亞書 11:2-5

「我說的話、講的道，不是用智慧委婉的言語，乃是用聖靈和大能的明證， 叫你們的信不在乎人的智慧，只在乎上帝的大能。」哥林多前書 2:4-5

Some people say, "You are very talented, you should do this and do that in the church..."  However, talent is not the same as our spiritual gifts. Relying on talent is glorifying oneself, but our gifts glorify God and benefit others.  Serving God is not relying on talent.  In the Bible, Zechariah 4:6 says,“Then he said to me, “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of hosts.” 

 Some people rely on themselves and talk boastfully, but their words are empty. Although they can memorize the Bible well, they do not understand the truth. The power of the gospel does not really happen in their lives, so they cannot live out  grace and truth in their lives.  They treat others rigidly, but are lenient with themselves. What matters to them is the self-interested life.  But those who rely on God, they live out a life that is altruistic, that honors God and is a benefit to others.

“And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord. And his delight shall be in the fear of the Lord. He shall not judge by what his eyes see, or decide disputes by what his ears hear, but with righteousness he shall judge the poor, and decide with equity for the meek of the earth; and he shall strike the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips he shall kill the wicked. Righteousness shall be the belt of his waist, and faithfulness the belt of his loins.” Isaiah 11:2-5 ESV

“and my speech and my message were not in plausible words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, so that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.” 1 Corinthians 2:4-5 ESV
