阿們的意思是“誠心所願，但願如此，確實是的”。 哈利路亞的意思是“讚美耶和華，讚美主”。 以馬內利的意思是“神與我們同在”或“與我們同在的是神”。 “以馬內利”（Immanuel）是希伯來語，意為“神與我們同在”，表達了化身或聖經上説的「道成肉身」的奇妙，神“成為肉身，居住在我們中間”。
