迎接他/Welcome Him

復活主日之前的一個禮拜天被稱為棕櫚主日

（又譯為棕枝主日或聖枝主日）。

主要是紀念主耶穌騎著驢駒進入耶路撒冷，

信徒們沿路鋪了衣服及棕櫚枝葉，

舉著棕枝搖動並歡呼，如同迎接君王般迎接他。

許多教堂會在這個主日以棕櫚枝葉來佈置會堂，

或發給眾信徒作為提醒與紀念。

讓我們一起迎接主耶穌基督在我們生命中掌權，

真正是我們心中的主，是我們生命的王。

不是今天歡呼他為王，明天卻置他於死地。

不是一時興起，而是每一天的信實擁戴。

“門徒就照耶穌所吩咐的去行， 牽了驢和驢駒來，

把自己的衣服搭在上面，耶穌就騎上。 

眾人多半把衣服鋪在路上；還有人砍下樹枝來鋪在路上。 

前行後隨的眾人喊着說： 和散那歸於大衛的子孫！ 

奉主名來的是應當稱頌的！ 高高在上和散那！ 

耶穌既進了耶路撒冷 ，合城都驚動了，說：「這是誰？」

 眾人說：「這是加利利拿撒勒的先知耶穌。」”

馬太福音 21:6-11 CUNP-神

“第二天，有許多上來過節的人聽見耶穌將到耶路撒冷 ， 

就拿着棕樹枝出去迎接他，喊着說： 和散那！ 

奉主名來的以色列王是應當稱頌的！ 

耶穌得了一個驢駒，就騎上，

如經上所記的說： 錫安的民哪，不要懼怕！ 

你的王騎着驢駒來了。 這些事門徒起先不明白，

等到耶穌得了榮耀以後才想起這話是指着他寫的，

並且眾人果然向他這樣行了。

 當耶穌呼喚拉撒路，叫他從死復活出墳墓的時候，

同耶穌在那裏的眾人就作見證。 

眾人因聽見耶穌行了這神蹟，就去迎接他。”

The Sunday before the Resurrection Sunday is called Palm Sunday.

 Mainly to commemorate when our Lord Jesus

 rode into Jerusalem on a donkey,

 the believers spread their cloaks and palm branches along the road.

They were holding the palm branches, waving and cheering, 

and welcomed him like a king.

 Many churches decorate their church

 with palm branches on this Sunday;

 or give them to their congregation as a reminder and remembrance.

 Let us welcome the Lord Jesus Christ to reign in our lives.

 Let him truly be the Lord in our hearts, and the king of our lives,

not just a whim for one day, but faithfulness each and every day.

“The disciples went and did as Jesus had directed them.

 They brought the donkey and the colt and put on them their cloaks, 

and he sat on them. Most of the crowd spread their cloaks on the road, 

and others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road. 

And the crowds that went before him and that followed him were shouting, 

“Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes

 in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!” 

And when he entered Jerusalem, the whole city was stirred up,

 saying, “Who is this?” And the crowds said,

 “This is the prophet Jesus, from Nazareth of Galilee.””

Matthew 21:6-11 ESV

“The next day the large crowd that had come to the feast heard that

 Jesus was coming to Jerusalem. So they took branches of palm trees

 and went out to meet him, crying out, “Hosanna! Blessed is he

 who comes in the name of the Lord, even the King of Israel!” 

And Jesus found a young donkey and sat on it, just as it is written, 

“Fear not, daughter of Zion; behold, your king is coming, 

sitting on a donkey’s colt!” His disciples did not understand these things at first, 

but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered

 that these things had been written about him and had been done to him.

 The crowd that had been with him when he called Lazarus out of the tomb

 and raised him from the dead continued to bear witness. 

The reason why the crowd went to meet him was that

 they heard he had done this sign.”
