至暫至輕的苦楚/Light Momentary Affliction

當我們快樂的時候，

我們很少會問為什麼這麼快樂的事情會發生在我身上，

然而，當我們經歷痛苦的時候，

我們常常會問：「為什麼？」

「為什麼這樣的事情會發生在我身上？」

「上帝在哪裡？神是不是把我忘了？」

「好事都臨到別人身上，壞事都被我遇上了！」

於是乎，我們在主裡的喜樂被撒旦的謊言偷竊了！

讓我們記住這是神所定的日子，

無論如何我們要歡喜在其中。

讓我們看看幾個屬靈偉人們的例子，

我們可以從他們的一生經歷得到激勵！

約瑟被他的兄弟們賣到埃及地為奴，

好不容易苦盡甘來卻又成了階下囚，

然而，卻是因為這階下囚的經歷至終成為了埃及宰相。

大衛王從一個牧羊少年成了繞勇善戰的將士，卻被掃羅王追殺，

成了以色列王卻又被自己的兒子押沙龍串味押沙龍篡位追殺，

然而，最後還是蒙神拯救，保住一個之王的寶座。

還有，使徒保羅，從一個對基督徒趕盡殺絕的人，

成了遇見復活主的見證人，屢次被捕成為階下囚，

仍然把福音傳遍他所到之處，傳給外邦人。

他寫了佔新約一半的保羅書信，這些書信從幾乎兩千年前直到今日，

仍然堅固了信徒們的信心，並且激勵信徒們持守善道。

讓我們知道現在所遭遇的苦與將來要得的榮耀相比是至暫至輕的！

所以親愛的弟兄姊妹們，我們不必質疑為什麼，只要信靠神！

“所以，我們不喪膽。外體雖然毀壞，內心卻一天新似一天。

 我們這至暫至輕的苦楚，要為我們成就極重無比、永遠的榮耀。 

原來我們不是顧念所見的，乃是顧念所不見的；

因為所見的是暫時的，所不見的是永遠的。”

哥林多後書 4:16-18 CUNP-神

“耶和華靠近傷心的人， 拯救靈性痛悔的人。 

義人多有苦難， 但耶和華救他脫離這一切，”

詩篇 34:18-19 CUNP-神

“不但如此，就是在患難中也是歡歡喜喜的；

因為知道患難生忍耐， 忍耐生老練，

老練生盼望；盼望不至於羞恥，

因為所賜給我們的聖靈將神的愛澆灌在我們心裏。”

羅馬書 5:3-5 CUNP-神

When we are happy, we rarely ask why such a happy thing happens to us.

 However, when we experience pain, we often ask: "Why?"

 "Why did this happen to me?"

 "Where is God? Has God forgotten me?"

 "Good things always happen to others, but all bad things happen to me!"

 Ever since we started these way of thinking, 

our joy in the Lord was stolen by Satan's lies!

 Let us remember that this is a day that the Lord has made,

and let us rejoice in it no matter what.

 Let’s look at a few examples of spiritual giants,

 We can get inspiration from their life experiences!

 Joseph was sold to Egypt as a slave by his brothers.

Just as he started to have a good life, then he became a prisoner.

 However, it was because of the experience of being imprisoned, 

that leads him eventually became the prime minister of Egypt.

 King David went from a shepherd boy to a brave soldier, 

but was chased by King Saul who wanted to kill him.

 He became the king of the Israel,

 but fled from his son Absalom who wanted to usurping his throne.

 However, in the end,

 he was delivered by God and was able to keep his throne.

 Also, the apostle Paul, from a man who killed Christians, 

became a witness when he met the resurrected Lord Jesus Christ.

 He was repeatedly arrested and imprisoned, 

but he still spreading the gospel wherever he was, even to the Gentiles.

 He wrote Paul’s letters, which accounted for half of the New Testament. 

These letters, are from nearly two thousand years ago till today,

still strengthens the faith of believers,

 and encourages them to observe the good faith.

 Letting us realize that

 the present suffering we are encountering 

is light and momentary

 compared with the glory

 we will receive in the future!

 Thus, we don't need to question why, 

just trust in the Lord!

“So we do not lose heart. 

Though our outer self is wasting away, 

our inner self is being renewed day by day. 

For this light momentary affliction is preparing 

for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, 

as we look not to the things 

that are seen but to the things that are unseen. 

For the things that are seen are transient, 

but the things that are unseen are eternal.”

2 Corinthians 4:16-18 ESV

“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted 

and saves the crushed in spirit. 

Many are the afflictions of the righteous,

 but the Lord delivers him out of them all.”

Psalm 34:18-19 ESV

“Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings,

 knowing that suffering produces endurance, 

and endurance produces character, 

and character produces hope, 

and hope does not put us to shame, 

because God’s love has been poured into our hearts 

through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.”

Romans 5:3-5 ESV
