新約中第一個被殺的殉道者司提反宣稱: 至高神不能活在或被限制於人所造的聖殿內。猶太人在那個時期的儀式和行為反映了一種信念，即因為他們有聖殿，上帝依然與他們同在,。司提反卻引用了以賽亞書66章, 所指出的上帝不能被控制在人為的結構里，因為祂自己創造了所有。 我們所信靠的這一位是創造宇宙萬物的，是全知‘、全能、全在的神。你願意來敬拜、讚美並且事奉這一位全能神嗎？
Stephen, the first martyr who was killed in the New Testament, declared that the Supreme God cannot live or be confined to a temple built by man. The Jewish rituals and actions during that period reflected a belief that because they had a temple, God was still with them. Stephen quoted Isaiah 66, which pointed out that God cannot be controlled in an artificial structure, because He created everything himself. The one we believe in is the one who created everything in the universe, the omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent God. Are you willing to worship, give praises, and serve this almighty God?
