聖經許多地方教導我們要分別為聖，要謹慎自守，然而控制慾望強的人，主觀意識也強，常常不屬於自己本份的事也喜歡管控，不願安份守己，所以容易造成許多無謂事端，傷人也不利己，特別是有損自己的屬靈健康。「所以，要準備好你們的心，謹慎自守，專心盼望耶穌基督顯現的時候帶給你們的恩惠。」- 彼得前書 1:13

Many places in the Bible teach us to be holy and to be alert and to be self-controlled. However, people who have strong desire being controlling have a strong subjective consciousness. They often like to control things that are not part of their business. They cannot self-control themselves which creates pointless matters, which not only hurting others and it is detrimental to oneself, especially one’s spiritual well-being.

「So prepare your minds for action and exercise self-control. Put all your hope in the gracious salvation that will come to you when Jesus Christ is revealed to the world.」- 1 Peter 1:13 NLT
