福/Blessings
新年期間人們見面第一句話就是互道「新年快樂」，彼此祝福。
記得小時候曾經聽過老師解釋福這個中國字，
左邊以示為部首即神祇的意思，右邊是一口田，
就是神賜予一口田乃為福。
人有神所賜的應許之地就可得溫飽，
所以古人創字時看來是認為福必定來自於神，
且有神在其中乃是福。
這真是太美妙了！
聖經裡也有許多經文告訴我們信靠神，倚靠神的人有福了！
如何能成為有福之人的一些經文列舉如下，
祝願大家成為有福之人。
「謹守訓言的，必得好處；倚靠耶和華的，便為有福。」- 箴言 16:20
「你們要嘗嘗主恩的滋味 ，便知道祂是美善；投靠祂的人有福了！」
- 詩篇 34:8
「倚靠耶和華、以耶和華為可靠的，那人有福了！」- 耶利米書 17:7
「不從惡人的計謀， 不站罪人的道路， 不坐褻慢人的座位，
惟喜愛耶和華的律法， 晝夜思想， 這人便為有福！」
- 詩篇 1:1-2
During this time of the year, the first thing people say to each other is
"Happy New Year," which is a blessing.
I remember that when I was a child, I heard my teacher explain
the Chinese word of blessing（福).
On the left side of the word is the radical (root word) meaning deity（礻）,
and on the right side is 3 characters meaning a piece of land （一口田）.
Therefore this Chinese word of blessing means that
a piece of land is given by God.
With the promised land, given by God, mankind can have their needs met.
It seems like when the ancients were creating this word that
they were thinking that all blessings must come from God,
and having God in our midst is a blessing.
This is so awesome!

those who trust in God are blessed!
