如果我們憑感覺去感知神，那麼我們會隨著自己的情緒跌宕起伏，一下子感覺神愛我，一下子感覺神不愛我，一下子感覺有盼望，一下子感覺毫無希望；神要的是我們憑信心去感知祂，這樣無論什麼景況，我們都知道在祂有永遠的盼望，我們就有平安並且知道祂所應許的絕不落空，我們憑信心堅定不移，就不會隨著環境與情緒的轉變而跌宕起伏，因為我們相信神是全知、全能、全在的神，並且是昔在、今在、以後永在完全的愛，在祂沒有轉動的影兒的神。

If we perceive God by our feelings, then we will follow the ups and downs of our emotions. One moment feeling that God loves me, another moment feeling that God does not love me；suddenly feeling hopeful, and suddenly feeling hopeless. What God wants is for us to perceive him by faith, so that no matter what the situation is, we know that there is eternal hope in him. We then have peace and know that what he promised will never fail. We can have steadfast faith that will not be fluctuated by our environment and our emotions, because we believe that God is an omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent God. He is a God who has been, is, and will always be perfect love, and He will not change. There is no shifting shadow with Him.
