不是苦行僧/ Not Ascetics
我們愛主就要有受苦的心志，受苦的心志並不是意味著我們要做苦行僧，苦荼自己，韃伐自己以自得榮耀，乃是要如主耶穌基督一般有犧牲奉獻，忍辱負重的精神。犧牲奉獻是我為人人，人人不必為我的超然豁達，因為以基督的心為心去愛，所以願意如此做；而忍辱負重，是對公義信實的神有絕大的信心，因為要忠心完成神所託付的，所以願意忍耐，節制與寬恕。
「基督既在肉身受苦，你們也當將這樣的心志作為兵器，因為在肉身受過苦的，就已經與罪斷絕了。」 - 彼得前書 4:1
「你們蒙召原是為此；因基督也為你們受過苦，給你們留下榜樣，叫你們跟隨他的腳蹤行。」- 彼得前書 2:21
「所以，要拿起神 所賜 的全副軍裝，好在磨難的日子抵擋 仇敵 ，並且成就了一切，還能站立得住。」- 以弗所書 6:13
If we love the Lord, we must have the will to suffer. The willingness to suffer does not mean that we must be ascetics, beating ourselves up to gain glory for ourselves. But we must have the spirit of sacrifice, consecration and endurance like the Lord Jesus Christ.
Sacrifice and consecration means we are willing to serve others without any return from them, because we want to love with the mind of Christ, so we are willing to do so. And endurance means to have great faith in the righteous and faithful God. Because we want to be faithful to finish what God has entrusted us, so we are willing to be patient, self-control and forgiving.
“Since therefore Christ suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves with the same way of thinking, for whoever has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin,”
