主耶穌基督曾要門徒們儆醒禱告免得入了迷惑，因為我們要知道「誘惑的力量取決於情緒和心境，因誘惑藉心情之起伏找上靈魂，而決定誘惑力的強弱。」（貝比裴登）因爲撒但這魔鬼專找毫無防備之心的人來誘惑他們，所以我們必需要有防備之心，不要入了迷惑，無論是肉體的需要還是屬靈的需要，都要防備，防備的密訣就是常常與神交通來親近神。
「總要警醒禱告，免得入了迷惑。你們心靈固然願意，肉體卻軟弱了。」」

We must be guarded to not fall into temptation. Whether it is physical or spiritual needs, we must be alert and be guarded. The secret of a guarded mind is to have fellowship with God and to get closer to God.
