We will receive our Lord’s blessing when we offer ourselves like the five loaves and two fishes. But we have to be broken first before we can be sent to everyone and become blessings to others. Not only that, there will also be abundance with leftovers, just like the twelve baskets the disciples collected. Abundant enough to bless even more people in need. It never goes to waste. Brokenness is an opportunity to have victory by trusting in the Lord. Brokenness is when God works in us to multiply. Brokenness is a process of spiritual growth. After God's blessing and breaking, God will multiply our offerings then enable us to be a blessing to others.
“But he said to them, “You give them something to eat.” They said, “We have no more than five loaves and two fish—unless we are to go and buy food for all these people.”
And taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven and said a blessing over them. Then he broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples to set before the crowd. And they all ate and were satisfied. And what was left over was picked up, twelve baskets of broken pieces.” - Luke 9:13, 16-17 ESV
“I can do all things through him who strengthens me.” - Philippians 4:13 ESV
“I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.” - Romans 12:1 ESV
